Welcome to my new weekly series – My Week In Pictures. This collection of posts is designed to help me focus on what matters in my life and to take the time to capture – in photos – the happy stuff in my week. It is often too easy to get dragged in to the complexities of life and lose sight of what is important. So this series will – hopefully – help me combine my three favourite things in my life: my family, my love of photography and blogging.
Top: Harry’s birthday party.
This was taken after he had ran around screaming at the top of his voice for over an hour. I had the sweatiest and happiest little boy there. We had a bouncy castle and soft play, and I roped in my sister and friend to do glitter tattoos. I invited all of his school friends and could still hear them in my head two hours after it finished.
Middle: Having fun with the sprinkler in the garden.
It was a warm evening after work and he was in no mood for play. Until that is I switched the sprinkler on. In the blink of an eye he was out there running through it in his shorts and t-shirt, then the t-shirt came off followed by the shorts revealing just a pair of budgie smugglers. Even they came off in the end. Needless to say there was no need for a shower that night.
Bottom: Testing out the rope swing at our local farm shop.
I turned up late to meet them both there and saw Daddy pushing him far too high for my liking. I had a go and managed to kick over my freshly brewed coffee before I had even had chance to have a sip. Typical me.
