Month of Firsts – July 2017

Here we go again, time to round-up the firsts for another month.  I started this series of posts because I have a type of epilepsy that affects my short-term memory.  Quite simply if I don’t write it down I forget it.  I don’t want to forget the moments that have brought a smile to my face, those that pulled at my heart-strings and even those that left me wanting to rip my hair out in frustration.  Thankfully there have been none of the latter this month – that I can Read on…

Month of Firsts – June 2017

Here we go again, time to round up the firsts for another month. There is a bit of a mix this month, so Harry here is Read on…

Top 10 Wake-up calls, Morning Mummy

Morning Mummy – My Top 10 Wake-Up Calls

I no longer need an alarm clock to wake me up.  In fact I haven’t needed one for the last 4 years.  You see Harry is the most effective alarm clock I’ve ever had because he wakes at the same time EVERY DAY, his voice has no volume control and his “snooze” button doesn’t work.  I also never know what to expect out of his mouth as he greets me in the morning.  Some of the things I have woken up to have made me question whether someone gave me Read on…

Month of Firsts – April 2017

Here we are again, time to round up all of your “firsts” for another month.  I started this series of posts because I have a type of epilepsy that affects my short term memory.  Quite simply if I don’t write it down I forget it.  I don’t want to forget the moments that have brought a smile to my face, those that pulled at my heart strings and even those that left me wanting to rip my hair out in frustration.  So, Harry this is what – I can remember – you got up to in April. Month of Firsts – December 2016

Here we are again, time to round up all of your “firsts” for another month.  I know I am a little behind on posting these – as I have been for the last few months – so there may be some things I have forgotten.  In fact the eagle-eyed might have noticed that I have skipped November completely.  I started this series of posts because I have epilepsy and it affects my short term memory so it is only me that misses out in the long run, as things you did that made me laugh Read on…

Month of Firsts – October 2016

Another month and another instalment of Month of Firsts. The series of posts I started because I was struggling to keep track of what you did and when you did it.  I love looking back and reading what we got up to as it brings the memories flooding right back.  However, of late I have been a little tardy with these posts.  I am so not up to date with what you have been up to – hence this post being written in Feb – but it highlights to me just how important it is Read on…

Time Flies

There are some features of Facebook that annoy me – I DO NOT PLAY CANDY CRUSH SAGA NEITHER DO I WANT TO SO PLEASE DON’T INVITE ME – is a particular bug-bear of mine – and then those that make me smile, such as the feature that let’s you see your memories from previous years.  This particular reminder blew me away because remarkably it showed what had happened on the same day over the last 4 years, and so I wanted to share it here.  In my opinion it is a set of quite special photographs Read on…

Month of Firsts – September 2016

Another month and another instalment of Month of Firsts. The series of posts I started so that I could keep track of what you did and when you did it.  I am late with posting September’s update, but I doubt I will ever forget this month, as this one has been pretty significant.  So, Harry this is what happened in September: Started school – Let’s start with the main one shall we.  School. A milestone that seemed ages away and yet here we are already.  You only do mornings, but that doesn’t matter, you are still in school.  Read on…
