“50 things that make me happy….”, hmm I thought how hard can that be?  Well when I sat down and started to write down 50 things I had a complete mind melt and walked away and left it unfinished.  One week later and I was ready to try again and found my mind flowing with things.   In fact I went way past 50.  The hardest part then has been to condense it in to my favourite 50 things that make me happy.  So here goes.  Hope you like them and they bring a smile to your face

1. Cuddles (especially unsolicited ones from my little man)
2. Spontaneous soft kiss on the lips
3. The way he gets all excited when I pick him up from the childminder and proudly shows me off to the other children.
4. Watching him play football with the big boys
5. Hearing him scream with happiness at a play barn
6. Watching him get all excited when he spots sheep in a field (sheepsies)
7. Sitting in the caravan all snuggled up under the quilt
8. Thick fluffy socks
9. Beer battered fish and chips
10. The smell of fresh-cut grass
11. The sound of the sea hitting the shore
12. Polzeath
13. The sound of the Kop singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” (I always get a tear in my eye)
14. The sun (I am a Leo after all)
15. Laughter
16. Ameretto over ice
17. A girlie get together
18. Fluffy soft towels
19. My husband (got to be included hey?)
20. Playing netball
21. A lie-in
22. Listening to Dolly Parton (who doesn’t love a bit of Dolly?!)
23. Being a mummy
24. Writing lists
25. Body boarding
26. Silly dancing with my son
27. Marmite on thick white buttered toast
28. Having my hair washed
29. Family bike rides in the Lakes
30. Fresh sheets on the bed
31. An uninterrupted night sleep (please let me have one of these again soon)
32. Watching/reading To Kill a Mockingbird (I read and/or watch it every year)
33. Hearing the rugby crowd belting out the Welsh National Anthem at the Millenium Stadium
34. Planning holidays
35. Lying in the caravan and looking through the skylight at the night sky
36. Being with my family
37. A day off work
38. Wearing my Converse (I live in them at weekends)
39. John Bishop and Peter Kaye (should that be number 40 as well??)
40. The sound of rain on the conservatory
41. Nest building
42. Watching Wimbledon
43. A warm shower
44. Memories of travelling around Ireland on the back of the motorbike (only another 16 years to wait until we can do it again)
45. Blogging/Chatting to people
46. Coffee and walnut cake
47. Gin and Tonic on a warm evening
48. Sitting outside on the decking watching the little bats fly over head
49. Take That (yes, I am THAT age and I have seen every Tour.  Too scared to miss one now!)
50. Strictly Come Dancing

I hope you like my list.  I have really enjoyed doing it as it ticks off two of the things on my list (see item 24, 45).
