Magic Moments // Scooter

It hasn’t been the best of weeks.  Harry has been ill for most of it so my husband and I have had to take it in turns to have time off work to look after him.  He just has not been able to shift this cold now for what feels like months.  On Monday I was treated to this all day. Even being in work felt more appealing.

Yes, I know I am mean to take this photo – but Hubby wouldn’t have believed he was as bad as I said he was – I needed to have photographic evidence that my day had been pants. Out of shot is the poorly blanket, the endless dinosaur figures, the entire DVD collection and the box of Celebrations to get me through it.

Thankfully the week still managed to have a few magic moments.  Being inside and at home did mean that H got some time to play with the scooter he got for Xmas.  By the end of the week – and endless goes up and down the kitchen – he had managed to perfect how to use it.  As soon as he felt well enough we were out in to the street to give it a good run out in front of the neighbours.  He was so proud of himself.

We then headed off to the park where he let off some energy on the swings, and he enjoyed playing peek a boo with me through the shapes on the climbing frame.

On our way home he kept himself amused by running off to pick daisies and present them to me as a “treat”, he even tried eating one or two for good measure – a sure sign he was over the worst and starting to feeling better. With all that fresh air in his system there was only one outcome. A sound night sleep. And thank goodness for that. Hopefully we are over the worst.

  1. Oh this is such a lovely post as despite him being ill you managed at the end to have some lovely days. The photo of him in the scooter is beautiful. You should frame it. I hate when our kids are ill it is really hard to keep it going. I understand you very well because I had my 2 girls ill one after the other one so instead of having one week off we had 2 weeks of illnesses! A nightmare! I’m glad he is well now and happy. Thanks lovely for sharing this at #KCACOLS. I would love to see you again on Sunday! :-) x
